Vibrant Connection:“On the day Julie photographed you, what would you have done differently?”
I would have warmed up so I could find more depth and ease in the postures.
How would you describe yourself?
Questioning, learning, and full of contradictions; quiet and talkative, serious and silly, full of confidence and self-doubt. A human dough ball shaped by the outside working to reshape myself from the inside.
What are your gifts/talents?
Sarcasm and randomness. Having real conversations. Supporting others. Seeing beauty in most things.
Where do you feel like you are in your true element or your flow?
When I’m helping others by doing or simply by being there and listening. When I’m active. When I’m in nature.
What experience in your life did you feel most nervous?
I forced myself to do a dance performance. It was terrifying. I thought I might actually have a heart attack. I did not.
What is your spirit animal?
A cross of Bill Murray and Bob Ross. But if I have to choose a real animal…maybe a deer. Long, gracefully awkward limbs, and stealthy so I can eat all the lettuce in your garden without dressing before you wake.
What adventure are you experiencing right now?
I recently remembered that I have the power to choose my circumstances and that they need only be ones that make me happy and nothing more. So I came to Nicaragua to teach yoga, make space, live simply and deliberately, and see what happens.
